Follow-ups, collected after the round — not in the parking lot
We ask for feedback six to ten weeks after a session, once the equipment has actually been played. An enthusiastic review written while the launch monitor is still warm tells nobody anything.
Third fitting I have paid for and the first one where I understood the reasoning. The two units read my spin about 500 rpm apart on the stock shaft and Bennett stopped and explained why before he changed anything. Ended up in a heavier, lower-launching profile. My miss is still a miss but it is thirty yards closer to the fairway.
I travel for work and had a builder in Ohio do the assembly. He read the spec sheet and asked who wrote it, then said he wished more customers turned up with something that complete. Nothing had to be clarified over the phone. The irons came back exactly right.
Booked a full bag audit expecting to be told I needed everything replaced. Two clubs got re-shafted, one got bent a degree upright, and I was told to sell the 4-iron and stop pretending. Total spend was a fraction of what I had budgeted and my gaps finally make sense.
Charlotte pulled a bucket of sand labelled with my home course out of a shelf and used it to pick my bounce. I genuinely did not know that was a thing anyone did. The 56 comes out of our bunkers now instead of digging a trench.
Honest answer that cost them money: my two-year-old irons were already correct for me and the session ended with a bent lie angle on one club and nothing else. They charged the session fee and that was it. I have sent four people there since.
What I appreciated was the discard count printed on the sheet. Eleven of sixteen strikes kept on my best candidate, seven of sixteen on another. Seeing the rejection rate told me more about consistency than the averages did.
February session, April confirmation outdoors, and the adjusted numbers were within a couple of yards of what actually happened. That is the whole reason I went back. I now believe indoor fittings, which I did not before.
Simone spent the first fifteen minutes watching me hit without looking at a screen once. Then she told me my problem was a setup habit, not my equipment, and gave me the name of an instructor. Came back four months later and did the actual fitting. Better order of operations.
The putter session used a completely different rig than the one in the main bay and measured things I had never seen quantified — roll onset, start line spread, the lot. Changed length and lie, not the head. Three-putts are down noticeably.
Drove up from Bloomington on a friend's recommendation. Worth the trip for the build room alone — they pulled the shaft, tipped it, and re-tested it inside the same session with the same conditions logged. No second appointment needed.
My hybrid session ended with a recommendation to buy a driving iron instead, which was not what I walked in expecting. They were right. It flies lower into the wind at Coffin and I use it far more than the hybrid it replaced.
Brought my fifteen-year-old in for a junior session. Simone fitted him to grow into, explained the reasoning to him rather than to me, and told us to come back in eighteen months rather than selling a full set now. He listened to her more than he listens to me.
These are not the only reports we have received
They are a representative sample, including the ones where we recommended no purchase at all. We do not publish reports from sessions where a follow-up was never returned, and we do not edit anything except for length. If you were fitted here and want your note taken down, email us and it comes down that day.
