Working notes, mostly about the gap between a screen and a golf course

These are not articles written to rank for anything. They are the explanations we found ourselves repeating in the bay, written down once so we could point at them instead. Several exist because we got something wrong and had to work out why.

Doppler and Optical, Side by Side in One Bay

What each system measures directly, what it works out by inference, and the specific places where the inference stops being trustworthy indoors.

Why we write these

Because "trust us, we measured it" is not good enough

Everything on this site rests on a claim that our measurement practice is more careful than the norm. That claim is worthless unless the practice is written down somewhere a sceptical reader can pick it apart.

If you find an error in any of these, say so. Corrections go on the page with a note about what changed and why.

Book the bay, keep the paperwork.
