Bennett came out of eleven years of chain retail club sales in Indiana and Ohio, which is where he developed a strong and permanent dislike of unrecorded fittings. He wrote the five published rules, he maintains the normalization model, and he still takes roughly six sessions a week because he does not think you can run a fitting lab from an office.

He is the person to ask if you want the model itself explained rather than just applied. He will take longer than you expect and enjoy it more than you expect.

Simone spent six years as a teaching professional before moving to the fitting side, and she brings a habit from that world that we value enormously: she watches you swing before she watches the screen. Roughly one in eight of her sessions ends with a recommendation to change nothing about the equipment and go talk to an instructor instead.

She runs most of our iron set work and all of our junior and returning-golfer sessions.

Desmond executes what the bays specify. Shaft pulls, tip and butt trimming, ferrule work, frequency matching across a set, swing weight, loft and lie bending, and the final tolerance check before anything is handed over. He keeps a written build log for every club that leaves the room.

He also handles the awkward jobs other shops decline: vintage hosels, oversized grip builds, and single-length conversions.

Charlotte runs every wedge and putter session in the building. She built our bunker sand reference library, which is a set of labelled buckets from fourteen central Indiana courses, and she will pull the one matching your home club before she picks a bounce for you.

Her putting sessions use a separate roll-capture rig on a calibrated surface, because a launch monitor pointed at a putt is measuring the wrong thing.

Grant is the reason the two units in each bay can be compared at all. He runs the morning calibration routine, maintains the reference ball inventory, keeps the environmental logging honest, and audits sessions at random to check that discard rules were actually applied.

He came from industrial metrology rather than golf, which he says makes him the only person here who finds the paperwork interesting.

We hire slowly and we hire for temperament rather than résumé. The trait that matters most in this room is a willingness to say "the data is not clean enough to support a recommendation today" out loud, to a paying customer, without flinching.
